For two decades, I have been constructing sculptures from assemblages of salvaged newsprint. I accumulate a large quantity of this raw material. While in full production, I enjoy re-reading the newspaper. As current events unfold, a news article catches my attention, a reportage draws me in, a photograph compels me. With my scissors, I cut a hole in the page to conserve them. Over the years, I have started many collections of newspaper clippings, including daily weather f<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

orecasts. I collected the weather forecasts of the 2000s, published in the newspaper Le Soleil. I selected 12 specimens of weather days, which I then digitized, enlarged, and reprinted. Celsius degrees are represented by a colour code. I then cut out the form outlined by the colour in which my hometown of Quebec City appeared. The territories created in this manner redefine geographical borders, changing with the seasons and weather and showing the twelve months of
the year in a chromatic variation from infrared to ultraviolet.   <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
