The paper honeycomb collage is a technique I developed to create structures that can be unfolded 360 degrees. Suspended from the ceiling, the work imitates party decorations while exploring the image of food advertising in the media. With a touch of humour, the only thing private or small about these oversized cones is in the title. The honeycomb texture can also evoke a wasp nest, and the words printed in the newspapers are abuzz with new tales to read. The work can be folded flat, like a book that we close after reading it, shifting from state of wakefulness to a state of sleep.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
