Walk of Fame is a temporary, exterior, site-specific installation, carried out as part of a research residency called Locational Improvements at the Caravans\u00e9rail artist-run centre in Rimouski, Quebec. Exploring the theme of temporary passage and taking place in the middle of winter on the shores of the St Lawrence River, this short intervention explores the need to leave a trace, among other things, and was made possible due to the freezing temperature. Using a mold made in the studio, I froze water into the shape of a five-pointed star. I then placed the ice stars on the sidewalks of Rimouski. A simple stroll transported pedestrians to the famous Hollywood street celebrating American movie stars, a dream that lasts only until the ice melts. Passersby experiencing this intervention immediately recognized the shape of the star. It is a beautiful structure that stirs the imagination and magic of a space. I even caught a person raise their eyes to the sky, as though to check whether another star was about to fall on their head!<\/span>
