Residency project at Est Nord Est Artist run center, Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, September to November 2002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project explored assemblages by combining found objects taken from various sites of Saint-Jean-Port-Joli : along the river, in the fields, the village, the mountains…. I brought my findings back to my studio, assembling an eclectic accumulation of farming equipment, toys, and second-hand relics. I was interested in the role that memory plays in the process of associating objects. How the objects are combined together was often based on affective and mnemonic considerations. \u201cNesting\u201d means that something fits inside something else. The Nesting Landscapes engulf themselves within us.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
